How to Type in Chinese on your Computer
In the Start menu, choose Settings/Control Panel.
If you are in Classic view, you need to find the Regional and Language Options panel. If you are in Category view, it is Date, Time, Language and Regional Options.
In the Regional and Language Options panel, choose the 'Languages' tab. It looks like this: If you want traditional (complex) characters, follow the directions for Chinese (Taiwan) pictured. If you would like simplified characters, scroll down to PRC.
